A new year and back on Breeze in New Zealand felt
like coming home. It started very well for us, we could catch up with the other
sailors and explore the beautiful surroundings around Whangarei for a couple of
months. That is, for sure, the good and easy boat life. Then the work on Breeze
started. And we were able to explore both North and South Island by car
instead.
Ett nytt år och tillbaka på Breeze i Nya Zeeland, det kändes
som att komma hem och gav oss en bra start med både gamla båtvänner och utforskande
av Whangareis vackra omgivningar. Det är det sköna båtlivet. Sen kom tiden med
båtjobb, och vi kunde i alla fall i början utforska både Nordön och Sydön via
bil istället.
The mast was taken off just outside Whangarei.
It would be repainted and get new rigging and electric wires.
Vi tog av masten utanför Whangarei. Nu skulle den målas om
och få ny rigg och nya kablar. 
With no rig we had to go by engine down to Gulf
Harbour for lifting the boat up for painting the hull. The difference between before
and after was huge.
Ingen rig, vi fick gå för motor ner till Gulf Harbour för
att lyfta upp båten och få henne målad. Det blev en otrolig skillnad på före
och efter.

Målad Breeze! Så vacker skinande mörkblå båt har vi nog
aldrig haft förut.

We also decided that we, at last, would get an
arch for the wind generator, the sat phone and the sat tv. The promised week
for the work became three… but once done we will probably keep it on Breeze
forever.
Vi bestämde oss också för att det var dags att äntligen få
upp vindgeneratorn, satellittelefonen och antennen för satellittv. Den utlovade
veckan för att få det klart blev tre… men sen klart för att förmodligen sitta
för evigt.
Breeze is ready, and so are we. Let´s sail
north!
