Vi ankrade i den vackra stilla bukten Anaho på Nuku Hivas
norra sida. Vi gick på hiking åt både väster och öster på välanvända gamla
ridstigar, upp på bergskam och längs sandstrand, genom grönskan och sedan
framme. Ena sidan en liten by med öppen lunchrestaurang (och massor av nonos,
små osynliga myggkusiner, som ger de mest kliande betten) eller andra sidan med
vidsträckt sandstrand. Snorklingen var också helt ok här, en hel del fisk och
en liten haj.
We anchored in the beautiful bay Anaho on the
northern side of Nuku Hiva. We went hiking, both to the west and to the east on
well used old trails, up on the ridge and along a beach, through all the green
and on the rocks. The western hike took us to an old small village and lunch on
their restaurant (and plenty of nonos, invisible small mosquitos who give you
the itchiest bites), and the other hike to the eastern side and a beautiful
white sand beach. The snorkeling was
pretty good, plenty of fish and even a small black tip reef shark.
